You’ll always know what to write next, how much to write, and how it fits into your overall story. We adjust your plan throughout the month to keep you up-to-date and able to achieve reachable goals in order to finish.
Plan Smarter Before You Write
Next Chapters' AI-enhanced writing tools are designed to keep your story flowing, perfect to take the stress and writer's block out of November's speed writing challenge.

You can start chatting about your story idea, and Next Chapters’ Plot Builder tool will help you turn it into a solid outline for your story.
Character Sheets
Bring your cast to life with guided prompts and worksheets that help you shape who they are and why they matter.
Our AI-assisted Character Sheets are interactive and learn from your notes as you develop your characters, suggesting personality traits, motivations, and emotional beats that fit the tone of your story.

You can describe your world online in conversation, and Next Chapters will help you develop places, customs, and histories that feel alive on the page.
We use AI in writing to help you think through ideas, overcome creative hurdles, and strengthen your story, never to write it for you.
Stay Consistent and On Track
Next Chapters’ AI-enhanced writing tools work with your schedule to help you stay focused, reach your word goals, and finish your novel with confidence. We adjust your plan real-time based off what you need to successfully write.
Speed Writing
Set your word goal and choose how many days you want to write. Next Chapters turns that plan into daily writing goals that connect directly to your outline, characters, and tone.
Each writing session unlocks a focused writing prompt so you always know what to work on next. Miss a day or go beyond your goal? Our speed writing tool will compensate, giving you new word targets and updated summary of your story for future writing sessions.
Subscribers can access AI-assisted guidance that adapts to their story’s pacing, helping them stay motivated, consistent, and confident as they move through their draft.
Consistency Check
When you’re done with each chapter, our Consistency Check automatically reviews your writing for timeline issues, character mix-ups, plot holes or story contradictions.
Our AI tools compare your new chapter with everything you’ve written so far – plot outline, character summary, prior chapters – and highlights potential conflicts for you before they turn into plot holes.
It’s an instant way to catch mistakes early and keep your story running smoothly from beginning to end.
Writing Reports
Track your progress with clear, insightful reports that show how your writing evolves.
See your word usage, pacing, and structure at a glance, and use both analytical and AI-powered feedback tools to spot trends or habits you might not notice on your own.
These reports help you understand your strengths and fine-tune your style while you keep hitting your goals.

Novel Writing Month is about showing up. Next Chapters helps you do it without stress. You’ll see your progress grow, hit your daily goals, and keep motivation high with simple visual tracking. When writing feels organized, you stay creative.
