Next Chapter Stories, LLC (Next Chapters) values the privacy of your personal information and User Content. This Privacy Policy explains what information Next Chapters collects about you and why, what we may do with that information and how we handle your personal information and User Content.

WILL THIS POLICY CHANGE?

This Policy is incorporated into Next Chapters’ Terms of Use Agreement and is subject to change. We will endeavor to notify you of changes to the Terms of Use Agreement by posting to the main page of the Site, but we are not liable for failure to note changes to this Agreement. The most current version of the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use Agreement is posted at the bottom of the page on the Next Chapters Website. We recommend that you periodically check back here to stay informed of any changes. We will ask for your consent to such changes if required by applicable law; in other cases, please note that your continuation of your Next Chapters account and use of Next Chapters services after any change means that you agree with, and consent to be bound by, the new Policy. If you disagree with any changes in this Policy and do not wish your information to be subject to the revised Policy, you will need to close your Next Chapters account.

In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms of this User Agreement and the rules and policies posted on the Site, the Site rules and policies shall govern.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Next Chapters may collect both personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information (known as “personal data” and “non-personal data” outside of the US, and both referred to as “Personal Information” within this policy) from our users (such as names, email addresses, etc.). We use this information to fill orders promptly, process payments for services, to provide customer service assistance, to improve the learning experience with Next Chapters, and to improve the content Next Chapters provides to better meet our users’ needs. This information is never sold or rented to outside parties.

Your physical address and/or geographical location.
Any username used to identify yourself in any of our services.

Video or audio recordings of interactions with Next Chapters held over the internet, including live Next Chapters courses, classes, and other online events conducted by Next Chapters.

Data given when you contact us or report a problem with Next Chapters services.

Next Chapters reserves the right to disclose any content, records, or electronic communication of any kind:

Next Chapters, as the service provider, is the controller in respect of personal data processed in the provision of services for purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

We may share your data with Trusted Partners (“Data Processors”) who assist in delivering services and functionality. These may include:

Partners providing internal management tools
Partners providing analytical tools
Partners managing email communications
Partners assisting with platform development and maintenance
Partners assisting with marketing and advertising

THIRD PARTY INFORMATION COLLECTION AND EXTERNAL SERVICES

Some Next Chapters services may contain links to external websites or services operated by third parties. Our Privacy Policy does not extend to these external services. Please review the privacy policies of those services directly.

SOCIAL LOGIN AND THIRD PARTY AUTHENTICATION

Next Chapters may allow users to register or sign in using third party authentication services such as Facebook Login provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., or Google Sign-In provided by Google LLC.

If you choose to log in using one of these services, Next Chapters may receive certain information from your account depending on the permissions granted by you through that provider. This information may include your name, email address, profile image, and a unique identifier associated with your account on the authentication provider.

This information is used solely for the purpose of creating your Next Chapters account, authenticating your identity, and allowing you to access Next Chapters services without creating a separate password.

Next Chapters does not receive or store your password from Facebook, Google, or any other authentication provider and does not post content to your accounts on those services.

Information obtained through these authentication services is used only for account authentication, account management, and operation of the Next Chapters platform.

If you wish to disconnect a third party login service from your Next Chapters account, you may do so through your account settings or by contacting Next Chapters support.

Upon verification of the request, Next Chapters will remove the associated data from our systems unless retention is required for legal, security, or operational purposes.

Your use of Facebook Login or Google Sign-In is also governed by the privacy policies of those providers.

WILL NEXT CHAPTERS SEND ME EMAILS?

We may contact you with information about product announcements, software updates, and special offers where permitted by law. You may opt out at any time by clicking the “Manage Email Preferences” link within a Next Chapters email.

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13

This section explains our information collection, disclosure, parental consent practices and parental choice procedures with respect to information provided by children under the age of 13 in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

Next Chapters does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent.

Parents may contact Next Chapters at support@nextchapters.com to request access to, update, or delete a child’s personal information.

USER CONTENT STORAGE AND TRANSFER

User Content transmitted through the Next Chapters website is stored on secure servers located in the United States.

By submitting information to Next Chapters you consent to the storage and processing of that information within the United States.

USER CONTENT SECURITY

Next Chapters takes reasonable precautions to protect the security of your information. However internet transmissions cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We use industry standard encryption technologies including TLS or SSL to protect data in transit.

USER CONTENT DELETION

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.

Residual copies of personal information and User Content may remain in encrypted backup systems for operational or legal purposes.
